Jes joined the Air Force shortly after graduating high school, deciding she wanted to experience a military setting firsthand before writing about one in her first book. After her time in the Air Force, she decided to rewrite and explore new angles for the story she had begun over a decade ago.
She currently lives in the United States with her chihuahua, rabbit, and bearded dragon.
