About the author

This up and coming fiction author is passionate about giving voices to the voiceless. The many walks of life she's seen and absorbed has inspired the mission of this series to highlight nuances in history, while shining light on diversity, in a way that further opens the mind of current and future generations. F. Iyamu has been writing her entire life and the intersection of identities and experiences have birthed a book series not to be ignored.
She is from the New England suburbs and went to undergrad at Brown University. She started her career in NYC Goldman Sachs Investment Banking and currently works for Google as a Product Marketing Manager.

Update #4 - 833 Pre-orders and we won! But ... Sept. 7, 2020

Hello friends, family and readers,


I'm delighted to share this update. Icarus, the Moon and Sun managed to get 833 pre-orders in 30 days, winning "The Future Of" competition.

Here are a few updates:

- I'm currently not impressed by any of the interested publishers from the Publishizer platform

- Separately, seeing the momentum of this campaign confirms the potential success of the book

Next steps:

- The campaign results should further attract the interest of agents who can connect me to the big / traditional publishing houses this book deserves. I will use these numbers in my ongoing pitches

- I will keep you posted soon on what that means for this Publishizer platform and your investment

Luckily, on the path to publishing you can't go backwards. And this is a major step forward. When the characters arrived to me, I promised them the largest platform to share their voice with the world. And I will fulfil that promise, though the journey is archaic and winding. Stay tuned :)
