Hi!
I hope you're enjoying the warmer temperatures as much as I am :) It's been a minute and I wanted to quickly update you on my book 'Joy Is Your Only Job'!
>> Today I signed a contract with my editor! YAY!! This was a huge step for me in letting go of perfection and instead passing it over to a pro to help me from here!!
The only bummer is that it's going to be a 3-step editing process, each process taking about a month each to complete. If you do the math, the book will be polished by end of this summer (taking into account the editor's schedule as well). Then there’s book layout design and printing left. Birthing this baby is a fun process indeed!
So much for a spring/early summer release :(
Aaaaaand everything happens in the perfect timing!
I could've asked for the most basic edit, but that would have been cutting corners just to pump out a book. No thanks.
>> Secondly, Emmanuel Jal has graciously given me a foreword for my book and is now in the middle of editing it. This is huge because he’s been insanely busy with his world tour this past year!
What can I say. I’m super thrilled that the book is moving forward beautifully and I’m looking forward to getting it into your hands soon!
P.S. I started a storytelling community in the Toronto area for those who have a raw, unfiltered story to share that can help positively impact the lives of others. Holla at me if you’d like an invite!
As always, with appreciation,
xo
