About the author

I struggled with acceptance at a very young age having to be hospitalized with a rare heart condition at the young age of 9 as well as having to wear glasses shortly thereafter(age 11)! The question's that Koku's Day Out set's out to answer are timeless, as we all have been faced with the same resounding question's and I don't see this changing fundamentally for generation's to come!

Synopsis

At a very early age we start questioning our differences, Koku's Day Out helps the reader by pointing out that differences are what makes us who we are. At a very young age I wanted to understand why I had to wear glasses & most of the other children didn't and why I was hospitalized due to a heart defect, although my concerns were fairly fundamental it is a question we all have regardless of those differences & we all have them, so this book helps in asserting the final message which is "It's who you are inside that matters most!
