MANHATTAN RAT is a novel for young adults. BellaDonna, the secret pet rat of Goth young teen Emma who lives in a penthouse apartment on the upper west side, is discovered by Emma's stepmother and literally booted out. BellaDonna wants to find her way home, but learns along the way that home may not be where she thought it was.
