Update #7 - Where is the book I ordered 4 months ago? Feb. 24, 2019

Hey!

Happy Sunday :-)

I'm writing to fill you in on what's happening with me, and The Success Trifecta.

First things first: you're definitely getting the books you ordered.

Now for the more pressing question: when?

We're looking at roughly 6 months from now.

As I shared in my last update, we're still negotiating with publishers and I'm working away on the manuscript.

On a more personal note, the start to 2019 was very different from what I anticipated to say the least.

A relationship that I greatly value changed and in full honestly I'm still finding my way through that change.

The following day, I got in a car accident where I sustained a concussion and my life was put on hold. I was in bed for over a week with screen time being severely reduced. Each day I'm able to spend more time working, but I haven't been at the same level of energy or concentration that I was previously. It's been sobering to change the way I look at technology and to be physically forced to alter my work habits.

I've also dealt with huge change with my grandmother. She greatly shaped my childhood and I'm still figuring out how to navigate that relationship and the changes that are occurring due to dementia. It's been heart wrenching and I've learned a lot about patience throughout the process.

The past two months have been emotional, confronting and I've had lots of moments where I've felt like everything is falling apart around me.

That being said, I consider all of these changes a blessing in disguise.

All of the pain, loss and change has shown me I was avoiding being real with myself. Real about what I care about, what I want and most importantly real about showing the less-than-polished parts of myself to others.

I'm committed to my work, but I'm committed to my health, my wellbeing and my family first and that change in priorities has been a humbling lesson to learn. I've also seen the deep value in extending others the compassion and empathy you wish to receive (even if they don't reciprocate.)

If I've realized anything over the course of the past few months about mindset it's that your perception is truly everything. No matter where you're at, know that at least one person believes in you and your goals. If I can help you to believe in yourself more, let me know. We're all doing the best we can with where we're at.

On my end, I'm doing my best to get this book to you as soon as I can.

I deeply value your support of the book and the vote of confidence you've given me through your contribution.

I'm honoured to have the opportunity to write this book and to serve others in finding work they love to do.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and for being a part of my life.

Warmly,

Kalyna
