Hello Mirrors Backers!

Hope you are all well and as promised I want to continue my monthly updates to keep you up to speed on how the book is coming along. It goes without saying that balancing work, family and a novel is a tricky mix, but I'm learning a lot along the way in terms of how to best crank out my best work on a regular basis. So here's what's up:

• As promised, the book will be in your hands this year one way or another. Whether I self-publish or am able to work with a publisher remains to be seen. I'll know more about this once the first draft is complete. I anticipate that being by end of summer.
• I've learned that writing non-fiction is much easier then fiction. The biggest challenge for me is learning to be more descriptive about scenes. My mind works like a movie, so showing is more natural to me then telling. That has been something I've had to work on.
• I don't want to wait to see how the finances break out with book expenses, so I'm going plan a trip to the local charity Hand in Hand next month to present them with a check as promised as part of my campaign. I will post on my blog and social media of the check presentation!
• My hope is to share a few sample chapters in the next few months. I don't want to give too much away or spoil the entire experience, but I like the idea of giving some insight as to where things are at.
