Russell fairly recently moved from Brooklyn, New York up to Hudson, New York and traded sunsets over the Statue of Liberty for sunsets over the Hudson River.
That move notwithstanding, he remains the very happy father of two outstanding children, one boy (now 31) and one girl (now 27), who visit him frequently. At this point, only the girl is married -- and the photograph here is a grass-fed rendition of their walk to the altar.
His first dip into the ocean of creative fiction occurred in college at Columbia University, was then shelved while he brought up a family, and was eventually re-enacted when his marriage dissolved.
In addition to his fiction, he has had a fair amount of poetry published. That said, he maintains the signpost of "writer" and not "poet."
