For Skip voyaging is a bloodline sport. Grandpa Rowland raced across the Atlantic in 1905- when powerful men were the ships winches and a sextant the only instrument. Young Skip sailed with his dad, crewed aboard the famous ocean racer ONDINE, later served in the USMC, became a successful businessman and has logged over 30,000 nm. He has written for multiple magazines and been a radio personality.
