Marques Lipsey

Marques Lipsey (M. Devon Lipsey, penname) is an African-American educator, author, poet, activist and music/political enthusiast. He is from Greenwood, Mississippi, but reared in Greenville. Lipsey is the father of two sons and the grandfather of one grandson. He is an English, Spanish, Writing, and African American Literature Instructor. He holds B.A. in English from University of Mississippi and an M.A. in Teaching from Mississippi Valley State University. Marques is a burgeoning epistemologist who is particularly concerned with issues of education, race, class, gender, sexuality, and religion and is beginning a platform for public and motivational speaking. He is the author of My Delta Blues novel.
