I'm a columnist, critic and filmmaker from Helsinki, Finland. I've written for print publications in both Finnish and in English. I've sold two screenplays and consulted on a number more. Most recently I've contributed to the Helsinki Noir anthology published by Akashic Books.
I have had a lifelong passion for film and writing. Combining the two for this project is a dream come true. Sang-ok's story is something that I've wanted to tell for years; first as a film, going so far as to write a screenplay on spec about the subject matter, before realizing that a book would be the best place to begin.
This is my first project of this length in this format and it's both incredibly exciting and terrifying to embark on. I'm happy to share the experience with everyone involved.
