My career as a writer began in the theater, studying playwriting under Tony award-winning playwright Mark Medoff as part of Pennsylvania’s Young Playwrights competition, and later at NYU in the Gallatin School of Individualized Study. For the past 20 plus years, in addition to my job as a high school English teacher, I’ve written hundreds of songs—across many albums and EPs, and most recently, for a musical. My songs have been featured on the nationally syndicated radio program The World Café, HuffPost Live, and on Philadelphia’s WXPN.
