Elise began writing before kindergarten, crafting stories for her little sisters and brother and thrilling them with tales of laser-zapping fire bugs and escaped kidnappers and chains that would loop around their ankles from out of dirt floors. Her life has been in weaving fictions, finding truths, and celebrating the magnificent, nebulous chaos that is the human experience.
