I attended K-State from 2007 – 2011 and was heavily involved on campus with the residence halls as well as in the K-State Academic Assistance Center as an Instructor and Academic Tutor. As a tutor and instructor for K-State, I developed a deep passion for helping my fellow students succeed and achieve success in the classroom in their career planning stages. As I graduated, I continued to return to campus to speak to student groups and classes about academic and college success and what it takes to create a plan to achieve personal and professional goals. This passion, combined with my love for writing, inspired me to write a book specifically for college students to share with them some lessons learned and some guidance on how to succeed at a higher level.
