I have been writing since I was 6 years old. It gave me an outlet where the world around me was focused on children remaining silently in a "child's place". So before I experienced the streets of Atlanta and it's rough edges, cold streets, forbidden loves, passionate gangsters, manipulative pimps, and beautiful boys in drag, I was a writer. So of course now that I have become who I am, I would return to writing. My multitude of experience offers an alternative perspective that may be needed to help navigate this life for some. Mahogany is Brown has been a long time coming. I am finally in a position where I am ready to publish and start on the next installment.
