My name is Kristi Price. I have been a working in the helping professions field since I was 17yrs old. First I was employed as a certified nursing assistant at Huntington Memorial Hospital through my high schools experiential learning program, and then when I relocated to North Carolina for college where I worked as a home health care aide to help pay my way through college. After college graduation in 2002, I continued working for 6mos in home health care but felt a bigger call to help others. Thankfully I was blessed in November 2002 to obtain employment with NCDPS-Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice (formerly the NC Deparment of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention) as a juvenile court counselor. This year will be my 17yr anniversary with my agency helping at risk juvenile offenders and their families as a juvenile court counselor. Over the years I've dealt with many stressful and high risk matters and worn several different hats (e.g. advocate, teacher, and fire fighter to name a few) on the job. Now for the past 13 years I have been working in the intake court counselor role.
