Coming from a difficult childhood, and an excruciating life challenge with a child, Chris was faced with a terminal diagnosis that didn't make sense. She felt that she would be presented with the answers she needed, if she truly wanted to heal. Those answers came with trial and error, and she overcame a devastating illness by making choices that others would think unwise, to say the least. In addition, she wrote a previous book, Lemon Meringue Life, to explain how to care for a high crisis disabled individual at home. She has spoken to caregivers of cancer patients, families, and groups of people who are dealing with life challenges.
