Tian Daphne

I am a cat. I am not a cat.

Don't be shy now, this part is all about you! Believe it or not, your readers will want to get to know you better, and so do we. A well-crafted author profile is also super important because it will help you establish credibility and gain the trust of potential readers. We highly recommend uploading a professional headshot of yourself, or at least a really nice one without background distractions or other people in it.

Blowing your own horn might not come naturally to you, so here are some tips to help you out. It is widely accepted that bios should be written in the third person perspective, which will make it sound more objective. Highlight your writing achievements, career accomplishments and expertise on your topic. Tell us about your awards, education credentials, speaking or media appearances, especially if they are relevant to your book. If you have high-profile clients or associations, it won't hurt to name drop a little. Lastly, throw in some personality, and make your readers fall in love with you.
