M. A. Bookout

M. A. Bookout was born April 30th 1963 in Michigan. After High School he joined the United States Army and became a U.S. Paratrooper. He later worked as a broadcast journalist for the Department of Defense where he wrote news stories as a field reporter for various television news programs. Throughout his tenure he wrote, produced and directed news and documentaries, winning numerous Keith L. Ware Awards for Excellence in Military broadcasting.

He once broke a Waldenbook Company sales record with one of his children’s books by selling more than 300 copies in a single two-hour signing event. He attributes the success to appearances on many of the Ann Arbor, Michigan morning radio shows the week prior. Mark Attended Central Texas College, Department of Defense Information School, and Wayne State University.

Today, he resides in Michigan with his family. When he isn't writing he can usually be found on one of the many rivers, lakes, or steams throughout Michigan fishing for Trout, and Salmon. Come October, you'll more than likely find him in the woods bow hunting for White tail deer.
