After much anticipation and many hours of hard work, here we are - the first day of pre-order sales for Purlieu. There's no turning back now.

Over the past weeks, leading up to today, many people have asked me how I feel about it all. To be honest, it's an equal mix of excitement and anxiety. I'm excited to be on this journey, to be taking a step closer to publication and sharing this book with the world. I'm anxious that it means that my family and friends alike will have the book in hands this time next year and be reading those words that I've so meticulously and intentionally placed on the page to tell a story that is not a nice story - but a necessary one. I love you, but I'm just afraid of what you may think of me after you've read this book.

But like I said - there's no turning back now!
