Dr. Tasha Brown is an entrepreneur, business strategist, pastor, speaker, business and spiritual advisor, and founder of the faith-based group, Purple Ladies, Group, LLC. Dr. Tasha is passionate about the growth and advancement of minority women and has started ministries and businesses to help women thrive. She is the founder of the ARISE Prayer and Outreach Ministries, Inc. that has helped countless women grow in their spiritual growth and development. She is a business advisor with the Women's Business Development Center and runs the Illinois Small Business Development Center in a south suburb of Chicago. She is a preacher, pastor, and entrepreneur.

Tasha has owned multiple businesses and launched many brands including Dem Edges® Tinted Edge Control, Dem Lips® Liquid Matte Lipstick, and Dem Lips® Liquid Lip Glass.

Tasha is a 10-year breast cancer survivor and believes in helping people be the best versions of themselves. She believes she has been called to marketplace ministry in general, and entrepreneurship specifically. She believes God has gifted her to lead people in this area and treats her work of business development as a calling.

Synopsis

There is a significant revenue disparity between minority women-owned businesses and white women-owned businesses. The disparity is so great that American Express reports in their 2019 State of Women-Owned Businesses Report that if the revenue of minority women-owned firms matched that of white women-owned firms that four million new jobs and $981 billion in revenue would be added to our economy. Ways to close the gap include helping the entrepreneur change their mindset/entrepreneurial motivation, access to training, markets, and capital. The book, Seller of Purple, will address 3 of 4 of the factors.

Seller of Purple will take the reader through an extensive dive into self-reflection and evaluation. The book will help the reader uncover some of the mental roadblocks that impede their growth and development. The book will also give practical tips to help the entrepreneur thrive and overcome the top 2 factors in business failure; lack of market and lack of capital.
