It is 2018. In an America similar to ours, a journalist breaks the story of the contamination of a water treatment plant.
Ended
Hey everyone,
First things first: it's been a long time and I thank you for your patience. When I wrote Suspension, I imagined a world where a near future dystopic novel would be firmly science fiction. Needless to say, the election and the following months have taken some of the wind out of my sails.
In the past few months, I've used funds from this campaign to hire four sensitivity readers, done some major revisions and sent out some query letters to traditional agents. I'm going to wait a few weeks to hear back, but in the likely case that I don't get an acceptance, I'll do final edits and send this book to print.
This week, I'll mail out copies of The Firesteel to everyone who ordered a double pack. I'll be in touch to double check your address. For everyone else, I've gotten back on track and have a rough schedule here:
March 30—Books go to the printer
May 25—Receive books and start shipping them out
I'll keep you updated if this changes (only factors would be me getting an agent).
Please definitely let me know if you have questions, concerns or just want to say hi!
xo,
Ash
