About the author

Nkwasiibwe Geoffrey is the original name of the author. Dzyna was nicknamed to him by the local tailors. Dzyna Geoff holds a Bachelors Degree in Industrial and Fine arts, from Makerere University, Uganda. He majored in Fashion Photography. As an artist, he always focuses on how human needs can be solved using any form of art.
In 2013, Dzyna Geoff founded Style Look Book, a publication which focused on updating the local tailors with the latest fashion trends on market. Back then, smart phone technology had not yet taken momentum to be in the hands of the biggest population as it is the case today, where someone can google the kind of fashion style he/she wants anytime anywhere. No wonder, Style Look Book registered a tremendous success up to date.
It is from this background that he has gained prolonged exposure in the fashion Industry and able to identify the need to write and publish a book to help out those with the desire to acquire fashion skills but are limited by finances and time.

Synopsis

TAILORING LESSONS; A step-by-step guide to making party dresses is a book that contains 10 different lessons; each lesson explaining how to measure, draft and cut a different occasion / party dress.
A real full fashion course can be very expensive and needs a lot of time. Therefore anyone interested in learning to make occasion dresses within the shortest time possible may not be favored.
I wrote this book because I have always seen people with a desire to learn how to make occasion dresses since these dresses always have a high demand. However, to acquire the skill, one has to pay for the full course, which some interested people cannot afford both financially and time commitment.

My hope is that, in using this book, you will be able to teach yourself, since the book contains clear illustrations, detailed explanations and simple worked out examples.
I have tried to eliminate complex professional illustrations and explanations and used simple, easy-to-understand diagrams and language that can be easily by the layman to make you grasp each lesson as fast as possible.
Through this book, you will be able to create even other dress styles by simply building on the same formulas explained in this book.
With your contribution, you will be able to support someone; yourself, daughter, son, relative or any other person whom you wish to be self sustaining with some fashion skills.
People who are naturally slow learners will find this book very helpful. I have designed this book in a way that will make them benefit too because it is a step-by-step guide.

You will love this book if you have the desire and passion to learn how to make party dresses for sale. With today's financial huddles, acquiring such expensive skills can be challenging. Therefore, with you contributing towards the production of this book, it will be like a dream coming to reality.

Why support this book?

  • It is easier to use.
  • It teaches within the shortest time possible.
  • It favors the naturally slow learning persons.
  • It is cheaper yet gives expensive knowledge.
  • It contains lessons that guarantee a lifetime money back.

This book is written for anyone personally interested in learning to make occasion dresses for sale, to be self sustaining.
