The Rewritten Path
I survived prison, betrayal, addiction, and a love that ended with a knife in my back. My daughter saw it all. This isn’t just a redemption arc—it’s a resurrection. The Day After Never is the true story of a quiet hero learning to forgive himself, one brutal truth at a time. I didn’t just survive—I became the man I needed.

I never won awards growing up.
No blue ribbons. No MVP trophies.
Not even the “perfect attendance” sticker.
But this week, something changed.
Two publishers expressed interest in my book, The Rewritten Path.
Let me say that again, because I need to hear it twice myself:
Two. Publishers. Interested. In my story.
The boy with the “going to Grandma’s” suitcase?
He wasn’t supposed to become an author.
The ex-con with ink-stained hands and a busted past?
He wasn’t supposed to hold a manuscript.
The man who sat in a cell on his birthday, wondering if anyone remembered he was alive?
He wasn’t supposed to see his name on anything but a charge sheet.
And yet — here we are.
One award. Two publishers.
And more support from y’all than I can fully wrap my head around.
The Rewritten Path wasn’t born in a writing class or under soft café lights.
It was carved out of silence. Out of nights I didn’t know if I’d make it to the next one.
It came from every scar I used to hide, every truth I thought was too ugly to tell.
It’s the story of being dropped off and never picked back up.
Of building a life from scratch with stolen tools and shaky hands.
Of prison gates, floodwaters, broken homes, and love that tried its best.
This book is the truth I used to bury under charm, distraction, or survival.
Now it’s a torch.
This isn’t about validation. It’s about impact.
Every time someone pre-orders this book…
Every time someone sends a message like “I felt seen reading this”…
Every time someone joins this journey…
It reminds me that pain can become something sacred.
That stories — the real ones — still matter.
That maybe I didn’t survive for nothing.
You can support the movement by pre-ordering the book here:

Or by forwarding this to someone who needs a reminder that their past doesn’t disqualify them.
Because that’s the whole point of The Rewritten Path —
You can always start over.
You just have to pick up the pen.
