Lisa spent the past 20 years in human resources handling recruiting, benefits, employee relations, training, and culture initiatives. She has implemented human resources initiatives such as performance management tools, and management development programs, to drive organizational effectiveness in corporate entities. She is consistently called upon to lead, facilitate, promote, champion and support organizational change in addition to acting as project lead for talent management related business initiatives such as policy and procedure updates, learning and development programs and engagement events.

Lisa has been married for 25 years to her first love and together they have a blended family of 5 children. They have two grandchildren with more on the way.

Lisa has a BA in Sociology from SUNY Old Westbury, an MBA from Dowling College and is in her last year at Capella University as a PhD candidate in Business Management - Human Resources.

Synopsis

This book was written based on the experiences I captured while keeping diaries as a teenager through adulthood about the tough topic of abortion that has many sides. It is a lively discussion of stories about consequences, regrets, lessons, and blessings that happened throughout my life to this point both positive and negative. It explains my experiences with abortion, relationships, career and raising a blended family. It offers help for those in challenging situations when making decisions. More importantly, the book is about forgiveness, getting over guilt, and being the best person that you can be regardless of the mistakes you have made in the past.

As an experienced trainer, human resources professional, and PhD candidate with experience in research this book is a first-hand mentoring guide for teens, students, mothers, daughters, parents and anyone who needs support getting over and through a tough decision from someone who has been there.

It is my humble and vulnerable expression of a tough topic that has ethical, moral and judgemental characteristics. It speaks to those who have a need to feel supported especially if you have had a hard time expressing yourself about having had an abortion.

This book is a recommendation to leave the negative past in the grave and have your positive future become your soul.
