Update #7 - New Beginnings for The Mama Caravan Oct. 28, 2022

Hi Friends,

Happy fall.
How are you and yours?
I trust this update finds you settled into your cooler weather rituals.

Halloween is almost here, as Cee and I gear up to celebrate my favorite weekend in Mexico - which are these days leading up to Dia de Los Muertos. We are working on our altar, for Burt, in the front of our home here in San Cristobal de las Casas.

I will be sure to take photos. As well, I have been working on The Mama Caravan website. I finally put together the promotional video that many of you contributed photos towards. (If it doesn't show up here, then please visit my website.)

I have also added a blog to the site for getting this writing in gear. As a dancer and an embodiment artist, music is what moves me. It has been a backbone of The Mama Caravan from inception. There is a Mama Caravan Spotify playlist comprised of 3.5 hours of music designed to move you to feel, sing, express and release emotion and feeling. Let me know if you would like a copy of it by reaching out.

My 46th birthday just came to pass and I would love love love it if you supported my campaign to publish The Mama Caravan: A Maternal Mental Health Map for Life After Loss by either pre-ordering your copy or sharing this campaign with your friends and network. We just added a $25 paperback copy of the book in the bonuses section, fyi.

New beginnings are here for Cee and I. We have landed in a small, Waldorf school located right here in our barrio (neighborhood) and his being in school from 8:30-3pm everyday has me feeling like a new woman. As well, we just got Cee a puppy since his heart has been longing for companionship. Bendi (short for Bendiciones, which means "Blessings" in Spanish) is working miracles in my life too, for she has Cee sleeping in his own bed, in his own room! I am doubly feeling like a new woman. After eight years of bed and room sharing, I am back to being by myself at night. Wow!!!! (I am share many of you Mamas can understand what I am feeling.)

Here's to new beginnings for ALL of US.
Best,
Cara
