Do you like a good laugh but think comedy has gone too politically correct? If you like your comedy writers to bare their soul and shoot from the hip you are hard pressed to find any who are not scared to say what they think and challenge their audience to laugh with them at their own foibles as well as look at society with a sharply critical eye.
In “The Plane Facts”, Billy Watson, writes about his life story which includes stories of drink and drug taking, prostitutes, Marriage and his various travels including visits to Jamaica, Amsterdam and his life in Turkey where he lived for 12 years. He also writes about Conspiracy Theories, War On Terrorism, Football, Work and Christmas from a personal and slightly cynical viewpoint. The author has also written a section for the book where he goes into politics in a deeper way than most writers of comedy do and there he pulls no punches in his views of the establishment and the so called 'powers that be' and how ultimately it is we the people who must step up to the plate to sort things out.
Billy has led a very colourful and eventful life and through his struggles and challenges he hopes to bring humor to the everyday aspects of living so that audience can get a laugh of recognition as they may have the same struggles going on in their life. For the past 30 years he has been studying conspiracy theories and therefore has a very different viewpoint on most subjects than the official version and that infuses his writing and his poetry.
People who like a good laugh and are tired with the normal ‘try to please everybody’ style of humour that has taken over. Also for those who like to think about the world in a different way than that presented on the nightly news. Onotherwords, it is for those with a brain and who are not easily shocked.
