Synopsis

Women are still struggling with gender equality in the workplace worldwide. There are limited opportunities to advance our skillsets as women entrepreneurs, CEO's, and in senior management positions in today's edtech corporate and business organizations. Now due to that COVID-19 that has impacted our world, it has taken a major toll on our women workforce- and research shows it may set us back by at least a half a decade, as primary women have to choose between their jobs and taking caring for their families. According to the 2020 Women in the Workplace report, "Women in particular have been negatively impacted, especially women of color—are more likely to have been laid off or furloughed during the COVID-19 crisis, stalling their careers and jeopardizing their financial security." (https://www.mckinsey.com/featured-insights/diversity-and-inclusion/women-in-the-workplace). Yet still some workplace employers are providing very little empathy to understand these trying times, to understand the difference how both choices in a women's career are so vital for personal and professional fulfillment, and longterm financial literacy security.

In "The Unique Individual You," book - women in leadership strategist Naomi Harm presents compelling neuroscience research that tells us that women's brains are wired for empathy, intuition and collaboration, the same qualities people are looking for in their leaders today. This inspiring and action-orientated women in leadership book focuses on how to build a woman's leadership confidence, cognitive presence, and influence. Mentorship stories of hope, optimism, mindfulness, and resilience will drive the storyline, and outline a creative visionary roadmap of effective women in leadership "lean-in" strategies and solutions. A multitude of snapshot learning scenarios and call to action items will be provided of how to lead with integrity while influence others with your positive genius. Yet most importantly, you will find your inner calling of how to celebrate "the unique individual you," through caring out of your legacy of good to guide and to mentor our future generations of young women leaders with unconscious bias and compassionate learner-centered approaches.

Naomi Harm has 25 years of proven and successful facilitation practices that model exemplary women in leadership coaching, mentoring and TPT's (total participation techniques) strategies, that have transformed the learning culture and compassion-based conversations with educational organizations and businesses worldwide. She shares with you her personal challenges as a women leader in the IT world, yet highlights how she overcame her setbacks, and how she celebrates her wins by influencing others with her creative positive genius from an k12 educational lens, the big business corporate world, coding and robotics start-up company, and her own personal and professional viewpoint as a CEO of running her own edtech women in leadership company. Throughout this book also provides for you a powerful exercises a women can take to combine professional achievement with personal fulfillment, and demonstrates how men can benefit by supporting women both in the workplace and at home. In addition, leadership tips and resources will be provided for you to apply right away to gain more confidence, authenticity and effectiveness supported with an instructional toolkit to model successful leadership "lean-in techniques" to guarantee you a seat at the collaboration and decision making table. This instructional toolkit includes: empathy-based coaching, relationship building strategies, mentoring community building activities, reading the room technique- when to lean in and when to actively observe, how body language and tone really tells your emotional story, ready awareness tips of how to be more present in our daily interactions and conversations, and the why we need to invest in ourselves with mindful SEL and self-care routines.

Naomi has an uncanny ability to see the uniqueness in people she is working with. In my experience with her, she quickly grasped my strengths and gifts, and identified how I can help others. She spoke to my strengths with clarity that I couldn’t believe in such a short conversation. She has really embodied the idea of recognizing what makes people unique.

In December 2013, I attended my very first tech workshop, just looking to get some Google goodness to take back to my district. A colleague and I spent the day experimenting with Google tools [and Google Glass!] that were oh so cutting edge at the time. Throughout the day, my colleague noticed that I was incredibly excited about Docs and Forms and Sheets [sounds silly now, right?] And he was right! I had never felt so inspired, so excited about something outside the walls of The Classroom I'd been teaching in for 13 years. It was in those six hours that Naomi Harm changed my professional trajectory forever.
Fast forward seven years. Because of Naomi, I discovered a passion and love for edtech that I had no clue was there. I found more of my voice each time I attended a Naomi-led workshop. I found myself pushing for STEAM activities in my 6-12 buildings, both in and out of the classroom. I worked to mimic the advocacy for our STEAM girls that Naomi champions. I will be forever thankful to Naomi Harm for showing me a world I didn't know I loved!

Dear Author,

You worked hard to write your manuscript; finally, it's ready to release. You know that expert assistance is needed, but perhaps you didn’t realize that working with a publisher is no longer necessary—especially publishers who charge fees to produce your book upfront and "share" more of your revenue whenever a book is sold.

1106 Design is an author services company. We offer all the editorial and design services you’d expect from a publisher, transforming your manuscript into a market-ready book. But here's the difference: we help you secure print-on-demand printing and worldwide distribution in your name. This means you earn several dollars more for every book sold instead of a meager “royalty.”

We understand that your book is not just a passion project but also a potential source of income. That's why we offer a range of services tailored to your needs at affordable prices. Depending on your manuscript's word count and complexity, our packages range from $4,000 to $10,000. And here's the best part: after this one-time investment, every penny of net revenue from book sales goes directly to you, never to us.

If this sounds like a better way to publish your book, I invite you to browse our services, design samples, no-surprises pricing, outstanding customer reviews, and educational articles at https://1106design.com. You can download a free PDF of my book, "Publish Like the Pros: A Brief Guide to Quality Self-Publishing and an Insider's Look at a Misunderstood Industry," and request a free, no-obligation consultation.

1106 Design has been in business since 2001 and is rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau. We are a “Highly Recommended Expert” at IngramSpark.com and rated "Excellent" at Alli, The Alliance for Independent Authors, at SelfPublishingAdvice.org, where you can find a "watchdog list" of the best and worst publishing services companies.

How can we serve you today?
