'Twas Christmas Night goes all the way back to creation and the fall of humankind and tells the story of God's redemptive plan. This story summarizes, in a few short lines, how the prophets foretold the coming of the Messiah, how the angel appeared to Mary and Joseph, their journey to Bethlehem, the birth of Jesus, His life and ministry, death on the cross and resurrection from the dead. Even deeper than the telling of the actual events of the Bible, it explains why these events matter. It tells the reader that God loves them and wants a relationship with them and why Christmas is still relevant two thousand years after it occurred. With vibrant and captivating illustrations that will engage the entire family and a rhyme with the familiarity and warmth of a Christmas classic, this book tells the most important story that has ever been told.

Q: When will I get my book?
A: The link to a video copy of the book will be emailed to you this Christmas season. After the campaign is over and we receive offers from publishers, we will select the publisher that is the best fit for our project and begin the process of getting it into print. Our goal is to ship all of the physical rewards (book, Christmas card(s) etc) by mid to late 2024. And there is every reason to think that this is a very realistic timeframe as the manuscript and all its art is complete. While we will make every effort to deliver everything before Christmas of 2024, anyone who has ever backed a crowdfunding campaign knows we cannot promise any hard and fast dates for delivery.
Q: What happens if the campaign doesn’t reach 500?
A: Everyone will still get what was promised to them but we will fall short of the goal of giving the book a larger platform to reach more families across the country.
Q: Why should I back this now rather than wait for it to go to retail?
A: If we aren’t able to get at least 500 preorders it will never make it to retail. By supporting this campaign, you are helping make this project a reality when it otherwise would have never been published. As a thank you for your support, you are also getting special pricing and gifts on Christmas cards and artwork, which will have a MUCH higher MSRP after the campaign ends.
Q: What will be the book’s size, shape, cover, etc?
A: The publisher will determine the book's final design. We have created some sample representations to give people an idea of what we envision the book will look like, but it is impossible to say for sure until we receive feedback from the publisher, who knows what will do best in the retail market. While the publisher may make some content revisions, the book will contain the same story and art you have all fallen in love with.
Q: Why don’t any of the characters have faces?
A: We hope that every child who reads this book knows that Jesus came because He loves them regardless of their ethnic background. As Jesus is telling His story to the children, we want each child to see themselves in the faces of the book. Faceless characters also allow us to use this book to reach other cultures who would be turned off by depictions of individuals' faces.
This book is designed for Christian families with children to read together at the holidays.
In our day, the message of Christmas is often swallowed by the event of Christmas. ’Twas Christmas Night syncs Christmas with the message of the gospel for those who most need to hear it: the ones hearing it for the first time. Come with me on a journey before there was time,
and I’ll tell you the story of the first Christmas in rhyme.
‘Twas, the night of the first Christmas and in Bethlehem,
shepherds lay in their fields as they watched their ewe lambs.
When all of a sudden there arose such a shout!
The shepherds were frightened wondering what was about.
Then what to their wondering eyes should appear,
a host of angels, bringing tidings of good cheer.
They said, “fear not! I bring you tidings of great joy!
There will be peace on the earth, from the birth of a boy.
Now go to the stable and you will soon see,
A baby who was born to one day die on a tree.”
So, the shepherds found Jesus on that first noel.
Then they hurried away for they had a story to tell.
Mary pondered these things as she took in the sights.
It was the first Christmas for all. Yes, it was a great night.
So, the night before Christmas we find once again,
we are telling this story again and again.
I pray that tonight you will remember this tale,
of the baby that was born that took on the nails.
So tonight, as we celebrate go take my light.
I wish a merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
