At a time when people are busier than ever, families need something to bring them together. ‘Twas Christmas Night celebrates the true meaning of Christmas by telling the story of how Jesus came and why. With a charming cadence that feels like a Christmas classic and vibrant illustrations that engages the whole family, you can start a new Christmas tradition.

Greetings,
I hope all of you had a merry Christmas and a wonderful start to the new year. Winston Churchill was once quoted as saying "Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." In many ways that is very fitting for where we are with 'Twas Christmas Night. It has been an amazing journey to write the poem, get connected with Yvonne and the amazing experience of our campaign this past Christmas season. However, we have a long was to go yet before this project is a reality. With that said I wanted to give you a quick update on the project and what the process will look like as we work towards transforming the vision of this book into what will end up in your hands.
As I have mentioned in previous updates and emails, the primary goal of our Publishizer campaign was to get enough pre-sales to attract a major publisher to take on the project. Thanks to all of your support we have done our part and were able to get 590 presales which puts us well over our 500 pre-sale goal. At this time Publishizer is acting as our publishing agent and pitching the project to a variety of publishers that we have determined are a potentially good fit for the goals that we have. It is our hope that by the end of this month/beginning of February we will have received offers from all the interested parties, we will have had the opportunity to dialog with each and will be contracted with the publisher that is the best fit for 'Twas Christmas Night. As soon as we do select a publisher I will send out an update letting you know who will be bringing this amazing book to life and into your hands.
Any time a publisher is involved in coming on to a project there inevitably will be changes to help make sure that the final product is the best it possibly can be. What changes these are and how long it will take to make these changes is driven by the publisher so it is hard to put an estimated timeframe on that until we hear directly from them.
How long it takes to get a book from approval to print can vary so it is too early in the process to lay out definitive timelines. However, it would be in everyone's mutual interest to strive for a fall release date so we will be working very hard over the next several month to proceed with that target in mind. Once we have the first print run I will begin the process of shipping all of the books out along with anything else that was in your pledge level. Before I start the shipping process I will (for those of you who provided emails) email you confirming the address that I have as being the current and correct address. If there is a change in your address it is critical that you make me aware of that before we start shipping. If you do send me an email with a change in address do not assume that I received it. I will ALWAYS respond with confirmation of the change so if you don't hear back from me assume your message was lost in cyberspace. Publishing a book is always a lot of work with many variables to consider so I thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.
Along the way as there are big milestone that we pass or changes that I need to make you aware of, I will keep you in the loop and post an update. Out of respect for your email box, I will only post an update if there is useful information for me to share. Rest assured I will be working very hard over the next several months to bring this project to completion and look forward to getting it in your hands as soon as possible. If you have a question or would like further information feel free to reach out at christianholidaytraditions@gmail.com
In Christ,
Richard Sandberg
