Dear Family & Friends,
Oh my, and thanks to each of you, how the book-joy continues...!
Last Saturday afternoon, as dusk approached and rumbles of thunder taunted nearby, the sun won out. A good omen, no?! A gentle breeze swirled about, the sky stayed clear (if not a little flecked by clouds), while a crowd of friends and friendly readers, gathered on the classy, grassy rooftop of the Maya Sanur Resort, overlooking the beach and loam and soft waves of Bali’s south-east end. Paper lanterns dangled at the edges, snacks were served, and soon enough, people outnumbered the books on display. From beginning to end, it went off without a hitch – papers flying off the table and one malfunctioning microphone notwithstanding. SO many people must be thanked; without their help (early on, or very last minute) the launch would not have been what it was: British Author Paul Walters, my friends Emma Nyman and Jon Gwyther, and the diligent staff at the Maya Sanur Resort & Spa, Bali, Indonesia. I also owe much gratitude to two consummate professionals - Shelley Kenigsberg (Australia/Bali) & Joanne Haskins (Toronto) - without whom my manuscript would have never come to fruition, let alone being bound into a 'real' BOOK.
And finally, to all of you Pre-order-Angels, those who attended and many more who could not (but were here in spirit)… you see: I did it!🙏
