WHAT WAS MY JOURNEY TO WRITING THIS BOOK?

As a Therapist interested in Body Conditioning I am fully aware of the problem many women complain about, being unable to tone up their bottom and thighs. Even personal trainers are often at a loss to help some of their clients with this issue. So it was quite a surprise when I noticed what seemed to be a specific group of women who had larger bottoms and thighs than others.


Here is the story of how the books concept was instigated...
It was a sunny Friday afternoon, my brother and I were casually sitting in the garden of a local pub that we frequent. Watching the world go around and 'people watching' as we often did. I began to notice a trend about the employees leaving various office buildings nearby.

You see, the pub was on a junction. With a large Insurance company in one direction and many other smaller businesses located in the opposite direction. All the employees leaving work for lunch met at the junction that joined the companies and led to the village centre.

I brought it to my brother's attention. Was it just me or did the female employees coming from one direction have larger bottoms than the other?

We reluctantly studied this phenomena and established that it appeared to be true. We began considering the possible reasons? Were the staff from one company chosen for their figure (a larger derrière)? If so, why? Did it help with their job? Were they employed on a specific personality type that enhanced the likelihood of having a bigger bottom, or perhaps it was something at work that encouraged this phenomena? I was curious and set about later that day trawling my many books on health and fitness and digging deep into online research to discover why these women from a specific industry had bigger bottoms.

TIMELINE FOR LAUNCH

About 70% of the book has been written. It needs  proof reading and adjusting. The second half of the book with Office based exercises has rough illustrations of some of the exercises, however I need to hire a photographer and model to illustrate all of the exercises.

An app needs building to compliment the book. This will be to remind the person to exercise at set times throughout their working day and in specific ways. The exercises in the book will be illustrated and randomly selected. This shouldn't take much more than one or two weeks.

Hopefully the book will be ready for the summer weight loss market!

This book was written with the 'Office Worker' in mind and offers solutions that are designed with the Office environment taken into consideration.  But ultimately anyone who consistently sits down for more than 20 minutes during a working day who is concerned with their weight or circulation may find this book of use. This book also discusses why a third of all patients admitted to Hospital with Deep Vein Thrombosis are IT or Call Centre workers!

If you are disabled, stuck in a chair or bed for long periods the exercises in the second half of this book can also help prevent many muscle and circulation problems associated with not moving for long periods.

Also Personal trainers who have clients who can't shift their excess weight through conventional exercising at a gym will find this book useful. The exercises in this book use isometric exercises to stimulate muscle and circulation whilst remaining static at a desk.

There are a couple of books about exercising in the office however, these focus on whole body fitness. No other book has isolated the trend of office workers having larger lower halves than workers who do not sit down all day.

This book is also unique in that it explains the problems of muscle distortion, fat enzyme stoppage
fat redistribution in the lower half of the office worker.
