Update #6 - First Look: First Chapters, Layout, Cover and Title Dec. 24, 2019

Hey there Conversation Designers!

It's been a while since we talked. Writing a book is a long process and it gets even longer when a publisher gets involved! This summer I started talks with Management Impact, based in Amsterdam and signed with them early in the fall.

The extra brains on the project have resulted in a better book though, no doubt about it. The final draft is back with the editor for final-final copyediting and layout and we expect the book to launch March of 2020.

That's a *long* time to wait...you all backed this book in September of 2018! This journey would have been impossible without you. Your pre-orders allowed me to hire a book coach who helped me with edits and organization. Your pre-orders helped me get the attention of a real, international publishing house.

And like in any creative process, there's a trough of disillusionment and self-doubt...and knowing you were all rooting for me and the book to come through made all the difference.

So, please follow this link and download the first two chapters of the book. There are still changes to be made in layout and copy, so you may find some errors. You may also notice that the book is now called Good Talk: How to Design Conversations that Matter. The title shifted several times over the last year as the book itself evolved. I hope you like it. The 9 conversations are still embedded in the later sections of the book.

When I can share a full digital PDF with you I will...hopefully in February of 2020. Stay tuned and happy holidays. This year I'm grateful for your support.

Happy Holidays,

Daniel
